Shipping is expected to increase, thus making the ocean noisier and thus more difficult for whales to find each other and food.
Dr. Parker speaks in the film along with musician and environmental activist Sting, Dr. Sylvia Earle, and Jean-Michel Cousteau. The film is narrated by actor Rachel McAdams. Daniel Hinerfeld and Michelle Dougherty produced the film with the cooperation of the Natural Resource Defense Council (NRDC).
